When people say they love food it can seem a little obvious. Sure how could you survive without it? And something that is that important to your survival should hold high place in your heart. But maybe this is a good place to start...
Recently I was talking to a friend of mine Eric. I was lucky enough to be invited to share Chinese New Year with him and a few of our friends. He was in his usual place, which is beside the oven, cooking up a storm. I was hovering around and looking for tips (he is an amazing chef). He began to talk about the women in his family and their attitude to food. It is a fact that in the average life, at a rate of 3 meals per day, a person will consume maybe 80,000 meals. If they are involved in the preparation then this could number around 60,000 -70,000 meals. So why not make each meal different? This inspires him to experiment and innovate.
Taking this on board and our tendency to have a few old reliables that we cook in rotation, I set myself a challange. To explore and cook more... and so the journey begins...
